History
The Orlando Group will celebrate 20 years in business in 2007. The company was formed by a
group of IBM and Control Data executives in 1987. The initial focus of the firm was the integration
and management of large scale management information systems. The past two decades,
however, have brought about unprecedented change in both government and private sector
organizations. The shift to a knowledge based economy, global competition, the demands for
higher productivity, the proliferation of new technologies, and the issues associated with human
capital management in a manner that would facilitate optimal performance have all put increased demands on both public and private sector institutions.
Our executive team recognized those challenges. Utilizing the knowledge gained from our
customer base, the recruitment of proven professionals, as well as extensive research into the
areas of organizational performance we began to develop a broader service offering. This was
not, however, a random selection of services based solely on marketplace opportunities. Our
executive team after extensive research decided to offer a set of services developed around a core
methodology that would integrate the mission and vision of an organization, strategy
development, technology, operations, and human capital that would facilitate optimal
performance.
Given the depth of our expertise, the demands of the marketplace and the specialized expertise
often requested by our clients we have developed Centers of Competency for our organization
in 8 areas. Additionally, we have developed specific operating units for 5 major industry sectors.
These are in addition to our general services units.
All of our practice areas are tied to a common methodology referred to as The Diagnostic
Integrated Solution Methodology. This methodology developed by our leadership team
ensures continuity in our approach and the ability to deliver mission critical solutions to our
clients. We believe that our history, the experience of our leadership team, and our structured approach
puts us in a position that allows our customers to achieve unprecedented results.
